Architectural design communication (ADC) in online education during COVID-19 pandemic: a comparison of Turkish and Spanish universities

Purpose The paper aims to examine the concept of architectural design communication (ADC) for updating studio dynamics in education during Covid-19 pandemic. Within this perspective, changing and transforming contents education, thinking, representation production mediums are examined through determined components ADC. There five study, which (1) Effective Language Use, (2) use Handcrafts, (3) Technical Drawing Knowledge, (4) Architectural Software Knowledge (5) Outputs. Design/methodology/approach research method is based on qualitative quantitative methods; a survey study applied comparative results evaluated with path analysis method. students Department Architecture two universities have been selected as target audience. Case 1 Altinbas University (AU) 2 Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) COVID-19 pandemic; ‘19-‘20 spring term, online education. Findings As result, two-path diagrams produced universities, presented reveal relationships ADC components. Originality/value This fulfills an identified need how can be developed platforms.
